{"id":25782,"date":"2025-04-02T09:26:26","date_gmt":"2025-04-02T09:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pedrerademeia.geoparcorigens.cat\/coleccion\/museum-national-dhistoire-naturelle-mnhn-paris\/"},"modified":"2025-04-02T09:26:27","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T09:26:27","slug":"museum-national-dhistoire-naturelle-mnhn-paris","status":"publish","type":"collections","link":"https:\/\/pedrerademeia.geoparcorigens.cat\/en\/coleccion\/museum-national-dhistoire-naturelle-mnhn-paris\/","title":{"rendered":"Mus\u00e9um national d&#8217;histoire naturelle (MNHN Paris)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wrapper-classic-paragraph\">\n          \n\n          <p>\n            <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Montsec collection in this institution includes an extraordinary representation of fossil fish and plants, as well as relevant specimens of insects, crustaceans and amphibians.<\/span>\n          <\/p>\n          \n\n          <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The collection includes the type of the pycnodontiform fish  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coelodus  <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ocloedus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  subdiscus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, two diptera  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hirmoneura<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Richterae<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  and  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hirmoneura<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eohirmoneura<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in them<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, two hymenoptera  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ilerdosphex wenzi<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  and  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pompilopterus montsecensis<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the conifer  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nageiopsis hispanica<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n          \n\n          <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The enigmatic frog <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eodiscoglossus santonjae<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, although represented by eight specimens, still maintains its unresolved phylogenetic position (Vergnaud-Grazzini and Wenz 1975; B\u00e1ez &amp; G\u00f3mez 2016).<\/span><\/p>\n          \n\n          <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for insects, there is a good representation of mayflies, of various adult forms of the fly <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mesopalingea leridae<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as well as some nymphs. There are also specimens identified as fragments of the thorax and abdomen of indeterminate wasps. <\/span><\/p>\n          \n\n          <p>\n            <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A large part of fossil plants are preserved in the form of traces of vegetative and reproductive organs, in many cases fragmented.
