Only a few specimens are stored in the ICP, although a few correspond to holotypes: Ophiopsis montsechensis (holotype and paratype), Rubiesichthys gregalis (holotype), Leptolepis crusafonti (holotype and paratype) and Ilerdaesaurus crusafonti (junior synonym of Meyasaurus, Evans & Barbadillo 1996). Professor Crusafont never visited La Pedrera de Meià, but he intended to control the maximum number of Spanish fossil vertebrate sites. During the organization of the campaigns led by the Natural History Museum in London and the Natural History Museum in Paris, Professor Crusafont was contacted to ask for logistical advice and to obtain some kind of legal “permission”. The Crusafont Archives (ICP) bear witness to the correspondence between Dr. Wenz and Professor Crusafont, with a clear interest on the part of the latter in monitoring the results of each campaign.
